Engineered PTFE Seals

SourceSync produces both standard and custom engineered seals in the right PTFE material for your application. These materials include Virgin PTFE as well as PTFE loaded with glass, carbon, graphite, bronze, MOS2 or any of the other fillers available to enhance the performance of your seals. Our advanced seal material formulations, which blend high performance fibers and polymers with PTFE, enable our solutions to constantly push today's known sealing application envelopes.

These PTFE materials are used in all industries and many different types of seals. Typical applications are rod and piston seals for fluid power cylinders, o-rings, lantern rings, SS spring loaded u-cups, PTFE lipped oil seals and many special engineered seals.

Energized PTFE seals offer extreme temperature, high pressure, chemically inert static and dynamic sealing for the most demanding applications. Our thin flexible PTFE ealing jacket, resillient by design, utilizes a spring designed to apply outward pressure to the sealing element at low pressures. A highl efficient seal is created as the system pressure increases enough to take over from the spring and engage the shaft or bore. The spring or energized seal assembly provides permanent resilliance to the seal jacket and compensates for jaket wear, hardware misalignment and eccentricity. The jacket material is critical in design to assure proper seal performance.

We can supply your needs in quantities from single pieces to high volume production runs and is ISO 9001:2008 registered with membership in the FPDA Motion Controls Network and ISD. For your next PTFE requirement let us make your task easier by supplying you with the right seal in the right material at the right time.
